Long ago, God looked down on Earth and saw its people behaving wickedly. He chose Noah, a righteous man, to build an ark to save his family and two of every kind of animal from a great flood. Noah followed God’s instructions meticulously, constructing a massive ark. When the floodwaters came, they covered the entire Earth. For 40 days and 40 nights, rain poured down. The ark floated on the water, keeping Noah, his family, and the animals safe. After the waters receded, Noah sent out a dove, which returned with an olive branch, a sign that the land was drying up. God promised never to flood the Earth again and set a rainbow in the sky as a covenant with humanity.
